Try Our Kettlebells Class

Y Club Personal Trainer Reece gives us a insight into his weekly Kettlebell  class.

This is a one hour class that involves using multiple muscle groups for an all round full body workout. It will give fast results for strength, endurance and muscle toning by challenging both the muscular and cardiovascular systems with dynamic, total body movements done in 5 rounds. The exercises for each round  are done in pairs including 30 seconds of kettlebell work and 20 seconds of core work, each pair is done in sets of 3 for each round e.g. kettlebell swings followed by on the spot sprints great exercises for melting down the fat and toning the body. The atmosphere in the class is always motivating everyone bounces off each other and enjoys the hour plus a good set of tech house beats to keep everyone pumping through the workouts, this is not one to miss. 

What is a kettlebell?

Originating in Russia,  the kettlebell has been around for centuries and is made from either cast iron or steel and looks like a cannon ball with a handle attached to it. Kettlebells can be used in short functional (explosive) swinging movements engaging many different muscle groups at the same time requiring more muscle firing at once working on strength speed power and core stabilization. There is no such thing as isolated muscle work in kettlebell training making it a very popular method of training all around the world today.
