The Y Club has a long established programme of activities with the aim of promoting health, fitness and sport for children and young people. The emphasis is on fun, participation and development through a range of activities. We believe our classes can also help children learn and develop new skills.
Our Junior Y program also includes Junior Judo, Junior Wrestling, Swimming Lessons and Family Martial Arts.
Family Martial Arts: Junior martial arts involves learning martial arts in a fun but disciplined way, where kids learn self discipline and build on their self confidence and self esteem.
If you’re looking for interesting and cost-effective ways to entertain your kids, then look no further than our Junior Y programme.
Child Protection Policy:
Please be aware that in line with Child Protection and Health and Safety policy the Y Club requires parents or guardians over 18 years old to directly supervise children under the age of 16 at all times: the only exception being attendance at the junior activities. These activities are highlighted in yellow on the Y Club timetable. During junior activities we require parents or guardians to directly supervise children under the age of 8 years. Children between the ages of 8 and 14 years may be left unaccompanied, but parents/guardians MUST remain on the premises. Children between the ages of 14 and 16 years can attend junior activities without parental supervision but we require a signed parental consent form on record. We advise that parents attend with a child between the age of 14 and 16 years on their first visit to the Y Club to complete the parental consent form. Children under the age of 16 will not be permitted entry.
Last entrance 1 hour before closing. Use of facilities ends 30 minutes prior to closing.
